Meet the photographer

Greetings!

Hi, my name is Carrie. I am a freelance photographer based out of Santa Cruz in the Bay Area of Northern California.

I specialize in portrait, equine, canine, and freelance photography. Art is my passion as a whole though and has helped shape me into the person I am today. I love all types of photography, whether that is staying up all night shooting a meteor shower or the Milky Way, capturing our first responders in action, helping out a small business, photographing your furry friends, taking candid portraits, being your second shooter at a wedding, or capturing an important life event.

Photography is a beautiful gift, as it helps us capture moments in time, the little things we miss seeing in our busy everyday lives, and gives a glimpse into our current lives for future generations to cherish.

I have been a photographer for over 5 years. Along with photography, I have studied under a scientific art illustrator since the age of 11 and enjoy drawing, painting, and digital art (via Procreate). When I am not working as a photographer I am an E.M.T and a volunteer Fire Fighter. You may also find me riding my horse out on the trail or going exploring with my trusty digital and film cameras.

My hope with my photography is to make an impact in people's lives, even if that is as simple as putting a smile on someone's face or making their day.
